Best PVP spec?

[:1]Hey guys, ive been watching the mages for a while and have finally decided to roll one.
My question is, what spec do i choose? I am going to be doing dungeon finder ALOT and do PVP ALOT. Wont do solo quests as much. Any idea?

I heard frost was really good at PVP at the moment. But im not sure as i havent played mage.
Frost is the undisputed ruler at 85, until then... if you're freecasting, you're going to wreck people. but any rogue will ShS ambush and instantly kill you until like level 60.


Personally, im a HUGE advocate for leveling as fire. try it, you'll love it and never bother with arcane or frost.


Frost is widely accepted as the strongest PvP spec.

Arcane is a glass cannon spec, where you can deal massive damage as long as nobody attacks you (random battlegrounds, for instance).

Fire is very mobile and keeps pressure on multiple enemies at once. It is not as strong overall as Frost, but can still do very well in PvP.

You can level fine as anything. I would recommend trying all of them to see which you enjoy most, then practice that spec until you become very familiar with it.

I play as fire because I think it's fun and you should always play the spec that you enjoy the most.
Ok thanks guys, i think i am gonna try frost and 2nd spec arcane or fire. :) Any tips for a new mage?
