So I am an arcane mage mainly, I tried frost last night on majordomo, because my arcane was not doing amazing, it's burst is high then I'd fall to like 13-15 on the charts..So frost was doing okay until at the end I died.
So we start on rag..I go back arcane with my frost gear..And my dps is ridiculously better than it was when my gear was reforged a ton of mastery...Now it's more crit more haste less mastery..Honestly I do so much more dps. The simulations show it a few hundred dps near the gear before.
But I definitely do a lot more now. I feel the crit is just amazing, with the amount I have and the 15% crit buff you get with presence of mind or clearcasting. And you get more clearcasting because you cast more because slightly more haste..Which all around ends up in more crits in combination with fm.
Even the times I didn't get a lot of crits, it still was better because I guess I got more ABs off?
Heres my armory link, I took like not a lot of time to reforge so it is a kind of sloppy reforge, and wasn't full maximized for frost dps wise.

It was all of the pulls though, and it's not just 18.09%
You have to take into consideration, 5% from raid, 5% boss debuff with a warlock, 3% fm, 3% when some1 else crits from fm. Also, flasks and buffs for int increase crit. What else...AND
Arcane has arcane potency, which is 2 stacks of 15% crit, ontop of all of that. (When it procs from clearcasting or presence of mind)
AND I looked at recount, and sometimes I was under-critting to what I should of been. It just seems it has been better for burn phases, and burn phases are a LOT of our dmg and dps it feels.
I don't think you are keeping your mana high enough then
it's so confuse
But I when I go into a conservation phase I kept it 90-100...I mean, I wanted to make sure I wasn't wasting mana by letting it regen more than I had. Which is what you are supposed to do, the lowest it dips is like 94%.
So..Idk..I mean I will stick to this gear for a bit...Aslong as I do great numbers and it continues to rise with gear.
