why you pick you name?

why did you pick your name? need some inspiration for my mage.
When I was done creating how my mage would look I noticed she was a pink color. Her color reminded me of the demon from tekken 6 thus I name her so. It was either that or Majin Boo lol
I picked a named that seemed fitting for a Blood Elf.
Need I say more?
Tweaked the name I got from the random name generator.

Been 6 years and I still like it.
I took the word 'ice' in the language of the Ancients from Stargate and made it my name. Pretty damn close to the latin word for ice but I think that's glacies.

My original troll mage back in TBC was named "Zukeeni" which was a respelling of the vegetable of the same name that made it look more trollish.

I had to get another name though because the name was taken on this server (I think I actually made him again on this server but on a trial account), so I named him "Kuizeeni" instead which I based off the word cuisine. Sounds more magey anyway imo.

I had just split from my ex at the time, and was feeling a little vengeful. Deianeira was the wife of Hercules, and killed him for cheating...

The original spelling was taken, so I improvised.
I randomized this name at the Character creation screen.
I played paint ball all the time and I got the nickname Martyr.

I was a fan of the Final Fantasy series... Well I still am of course, but X was the last one I really liked.

I can't say I was super successful in a name selection that sounded high elven (Or Quel'dorei sounding) But I wanted it to seem at least like an elven name. I got something pretty similar to Teiala from an elven name generator, but I tweaked the name a tiny bit. I'm sure there are better out there, but some of my first picks were taken... and I'm not a fan of fancy letters.

Perhaps you could look at the race you plan to make and see what kind of names the race would have. Or you could always have a mage spec/ability sounding name if thats more your style. :)
