Hello, I just re-activated my account back and I wanted to know how much has changed since 6 months ago with specs and what not. I don't care about PvP right now but i want to know what spec/gear is good to pve/raiding right now. Any information is helpful. Thank You!
While all the specs are viable, Arcane and Fire tend to be the most used for PvE. Specifically, Arcane tends to be the single target spec of choice, and Fire tends to be the AoE spec of choice. Frost is viable as a Single target spec, but the higher up you get in content the more difficult it will be to maintain good DPS.
I think frost can be viable as an AoE spec to some extent as well. There's a reason that frost mages out dps the other two on Beth... People keep saying Frost AoE is gimped, but I'm not so sure about that.
