questions about mages

so atm im a fire mage pve frost pvp but is frost ok for pve since i really just want to pvp on my mage i kinda want to master using frost. thoughts?

Frost PVE and PVP have nothing to do with each other, at all.

Well learning how to do good shatter combos in pvp and leveling can really help on how to use them properly in PvE, as well as proper usage of procs. But other than that, yeah they are quite different.
I've not seen it yet, but supposedly frost is not far behind arcane in terms of dps now. Which is great and makes frost a more reasonable spec to play without feeling like you're giving up a lot of damage.

However, the number one complaint I see about frost, pve wise, is that mana management is quite a bit more difficult in long fights.
